Would Ray Park Be Down For A Darth Maul Standalone Film???

Famed Actor & Martial Artist Is Enthusiastic About The Idea….

I stumbled upon something interesting from IGN today that I’d never heard before. Earlier this year the audience at the Star Wars Celebration was treated to seeing Ray Park onstage relating his experiences playing the famed Sith Lord and watching him demonstrate some martial arts and saber moves. During the Q&A someone brought up the idea of the horned master of the double-bladed lightsaber getting his own movie. Park was enthusiastic to say the least….

“I would love to be disciplined, like not eat anything for four months, and be shredded and do the whole tattoo body effect like you see in the comics and the novels,” he said. “I’d love to do that!”

He also thinks the standalone would be best if it took place after the events of The Phantom Menace

If Darth Maul was coming back, he should be topless, tattooed, bigger horns, robotic legs!” he said. “I would love to do it!

Actually, Darth Maul was already brought back for the canon and much-loved animated series The Clone Wars during which it is revealed he survived his bisection at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi and, after many years and trials, came to confront the Jedi Master once again.
