‘Star Wars’ Toys Fetch Over $500,000 At Auction

Surprise Top-Selling ‘Star Wars’ Collectible Sells For Three Times Its Estimate…

Tomoaki Nagao, also known as NIGO, is a high-end designer of luxury clothing brands such as Billionaire Boys Club and A Bathing Ape. Apparently he’s also a Star Wars mega-fan and has quite the extensive collection. According to CNN, he recently he sold a fraction of it at Sotheby’s of New York during an auction they named ‘Return of the NIGO’.

Here are some of the top-selling items, some of which went for record amounts…

Canadian 7 Figurines Multipack – $32,500

This extremely rare set of action figures sold through Sears Canada in 1980. This was the top-selling item and was originally estimated to sell for between $8,000 – $12,000.

Power of the Force Boba Fett prototype – $1,875

This 1995 prototype is still in the “nude” and was originally estimated to sell for $400 – $600.

Canadian Empire Strikes Back Boba Fett – $2,250

Boba Fett items were amongst the most popular items at the auction as evidenced by this Canadian figure fetching over $2K.
