Shots Are Evolving In ‘The Force Awakens’

How Many Differences Can You Spot???

These two frames from Star Wars: The Force Awakens provide a fascinating look into how the film’s special effects have been evolving during the past several months of post-production. Eagle-eyed redditor failsafe5000 first spotted these differences. Please keep in mind these are not the same exact frame; it’s the same scene from two different trailers.

You’ll notice the turrets have been moved closer and their designs are much more complex. The mountain range behind the platform has been altered and fleshed out. The platform itself looks more detailed and the banner is more fabric-like. Some troops are missing and others slightly modified in the new version. Also note that the color temperature is bluer in the most recent version which makes it feel colder. I’d say all of these are improvements. How many more differences do you see?
